BART VAN DER SCHAAF
I believe that all people love to learn, as long as we don't use that word too much and stimulate their natural curiosity. Which is why a good trainer or teacher not just delivers substance, but must be an expert in didactics and group dynamics. Teaching a variety of people and developing training programs for organizations in different cultures and countries for twenty-five years has been a ongoing quest for ever better ways to facilitate people's learning process. I like to shape my trainings as explorations rather than lectures, and I am an expert at evoking curiosity and reduce every complicated learning goal to easy-to-perform exercises.
I can be hired to train people in, among other things, interview and communication skills, feedback, leadership, suicide counseling, role play training, creativity.
I also offer courses in Storytelling, Working with Corporate Actors and Presentation Skills and I coach teams in team building sessions and in conflict-solving based on Deep Democracy and Non-Violent Communication.
I also work as a personal coach.
TO PLAY IS TO LEARN
Looking for and stimulating creativity is a key point in my work. When people let go of their inclination to judge and their expectations with regard to outcome, anyone can be creative and learn in a way that doesn't feel like work. My experience and inspiration come from the world of the theatre and I always work in the fascinating area of play, storytelling and dramaturgy on one hand and learning on the other. The most important element to me is playing games. By looking for the ideal balance between challenge and fun, we can fool our brain and invoke a non-judgmental state of mind that optimally stimulates creativity.
Bart works honestly, is able to confront respectfully, and always gets very good reviews as a co-trainer and as a corporate actor. Participants are unanimous in their feedback that working with Bart deepened their experimenting with new behavior and greatly contributed to their growth and achievements.
ELLEN VAN LAAR - La Sfida
Intelligent, ambitious, understanding, accurate and creative. And he's a nice guy, that too. The only thing is: he drives a motorcycle. Bit sad, what?
BERTHOLD GUNSTER - Yes-But®
Original, sense of humor, resolute and pleasantly surprising. I know Bart as a creative teacher and coach. He is able to really help people push their creative boundaries.
